The Department is making efforts to enrich the law library through stocking latest books written by different writers in every relevant subject and also enabling access to online law journals and e-Books. The students will get excellent library facilities for their research work, and students are actively guided in their research. They are always welcome to discuss their educational issues with the concerned course teacher.

During different periods of the course the leading lawyers of the country are invited to share their court experience with the students and give their valuable suggestions. There are seminars on different issues of law where leading academics and lawyers are invited. The students will have opportunity to participate in debate and mooting competition.

The students will be well taken care of according to the reputation of the University. The students will be required to participate in different discussions to enhance their understanding of law and skill.

About the Programme
Like most academic degrees, law program at FU starts with foundation and compulsory core courses.  Teaching is through a combination of lectures, seminars, group work, presentations and ‘mooting sessions’ – practical law training in a courtroom setting to help students master important legal skills such as research and analysis, public speaking and argument formation.

Career Prospects
Most students will choose law because they are interested in pursuing a career in the legal profession. They can either choose to practice in the court of justice or can choose to become judge to ensure justice; they can even choose to spread their legal knowledge by choosing the academic profession. They can engage themselves in in-house practice, counselling and consultancy; join multi-national corporations in their legal team, and serve other institutions using their legal skill, knowledge and capacity. A law degree can prepare someone for working at the highest levels – many world leaders are lawyers including Barack Obama, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher etc. One can also choose a different career after studying law.
