Professional Experience

Over 20 years of experience across academic (teaching, research, writing, supervisor); administration and corporate leadership. Specially, focused on academic governance tendering new knowledge and higher education management. Dr. Hoque is the author of some books and has several publications in Index Journals as an author and co-author.

Served as Registrar (In-Charge) and Director of Finance at Bandarban University (January 19, 2025–October 15, 2025). Managed academic administration, financial operations, and institutional governance while serving concurrently as an Associate Professor (Adjunct) in the Departments of Governance and Development Studies (GDS) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), delivering General Education courses to undergraduate and graduate students of MBA Program.

Served as Assistant Professor, Head and Registrar (Acting) of the Department of Sociology at the University of Brahmanbaria (March 1, 2024–January 31, 2025). Led departmental academic and administrative functions, supervised faculty and academic programs, contributed to curriculum development, and taught undergraduate sociology courses.

Served as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Business Administration at Britannia University, Cumilla (February 1, 2018–October 30, 2021). Delivered advanced MBA-level Marketing courses, mentored graduate students, and contributed to curriculum delivery and academic quality assurance.

Served as, Cluster Manager (Specialist) in Grameenphone Ltd. a leading multinational telecommunications company with Norwegian ownership, for over 16 years (Nov 16, 2006 – Dec 31, 2021). He had held progressive leadership roles across multiple cross-functional areas, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service Operations, Credit Management, Distribution, and Admin & Legal Affairs. Demonstrated expertise in strategic decision-making, organizational leadership, and operational management, and contributed significantly to institutional growth, business excellence, and sustainable organizational development. He took voluntary retirement under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) in 2021.
